Darling December

Ahh December. If we’re being honest, December basically means Christmas, which means the air is crisp, Mariah Carey is blaring on every radio station, warm candles, the smell of pinecones, hot chocolate, and a month long assemble of sweaters.

One of my favorite things about the fall and winter seasons are all the beautiful, multi-colored, patterned, and thick sweaters that instantly appear in every retail store. I love sweaters. Not only are they warm, but they come in so many different designs, and are the perfect go-to for cold weather.

This holiday season is full of Christmas parties, work events, family dinners, and get-togethers with friends. Pairing that new cute sweater with a solid colored or patterned skirt is the perfect way to combine cozy with sleek.

I’ve paired a colored-striped sweater from Marshall’s (who doesn’t love Marshall’s?) with a black jean skirt, and black heart-patterned tights. Throw on some lipstick, add a festive scrunchie and a bold colored ring, and voila, you’ve got the perfect outfit for any holiday party. The best part is that this outfit isn’t expensive and any of these items can be easily found at your favorite stores.
