A Brooklyn Stroll Through Casual and Chic

New York New York, how I never tire of you. A weekend trip to New York is always needed. There is something so inspiring, exciting, and adventurous about the Big Apple. It’s like entering a fast-paced world where anything is possible. I spent my second day in the city strolling around Brooklyn with a comfortable and chic outfit.

A simple white t-shirt with a chill babe slogan, a black cabby hat, and a blue jean denim skirt. All three items were purchased at Forever 21 throughout different periods of time, but came together perfectly for this sunny day. Cute clothes for sale? You can always count me in (insert girl raising hand emoji).

To add some more color to the outfit, I added pink sneakers from Aldo, a yellow lemon-shaped cross-body bag from shein.com, and a multicolored handmade scrunchie from a local store in Honokowai, Hawaii. I always have a hair-tie nearby in case the weather gets too humid for my hair, but a cool patterned scrunchie can also pass as an accessory for your wrist.

Regardless of the outfit, sneakers are always needed in New York because all the walking will destroy your feet if they aren’t in something comfortable. Dress fashionably, but still be kind to your body ladies. There’s no use wearing beautiful heels if you can barely walk in them. It’s better to find solid colored sneakers to match your outfit that are both comfortable and give your outfit that casual-cool look.

Voila, there you go. A relaxing, yet stylish look. These days, Brooklyn is known for its hipster and effortlessly easy-going scene, so an outfit along that vibe fits right in.
